GEMINI TWINS THIRD HOUSE BREAKDOWN

Gemini is the third house in astrology. First, being the fiery masculine zodiac of Aries, then leading to the earthy feminine sign of Taurus.

Gemini the first sign representing humankind, while the two previous signs were symbols of animals. From the first emanation of fire, Aries, the soul in housed in the soil of Taurus that births Gemini.

Gemini merges both the Masculine and the Feminine of the two separates that unifies into the dualistic hermaphroditic sign of Gemini.

This post will cover both the Esoteric, Venusian aspect and Exoteric, Mercurial descriptions of this sign. The three Decans, Tarot representations, mythological references and the Biblical texts and, or characters related to the sign of Gemini ♊

THE EXOTERIC MEANING OF GEMINI

Exoteric is the focus on the material self and the material outcomes. With this interpretation of Gemini is ruled by Mercury, the bean of communication, Hermes.
Mercury in Alchemy is both a liquid and a solid, a ‘mystery‘ substance, that of the spirit. Also, associated with the mind and is represented by the Magician Card. The trickster. Hermes adorned with wings for ascension and his staff having two snakes, the Masculine (physical) and Feminine (spiritual), the Kundalini rising.
Gemini’s are known for being chatty, indecisive, fast and witty, and can even gossip.
This springs from their dualistic nature, being a mutable sign. The symbol (literally 😏) has two pillars, two separates connected or adjoined to form one.

THE THIRD HOUSE

The third house is the nest of Gemini and is associated with diversity, left brain, siblings, short term memory, short distance travel, information but usually without pinpoint references, communications, language, speech, marketing, advertising, neighbors, curiosity, possibilities, options, and mental stimulation.

THE OPPOSITE HOUSE

The opposite house is the 9th house, Sagittarius. This fiery sign represents intuition, study of religion, philosophy, higher learning, long distance travel, institutions, expansion, legal matters, generations, multigenerational family, universities.
Sagittarius takes all of the information that was gathered by Gemini and makes it useful and applicable in life.

Gemini rules the arms, hands, shoulders, fingers, lungs and nervous system. The king of dualism and information, carrying vital communications from the heart to the brain and throughout the body.
The two halves transmits electrical ‘impulses’ to the opposite side, equally distributing the energy. For example, your left part of the brain sends signals to your right hand so you can write.

THE MYTHOLOGY AND BIBLICAL CONNECTION

Let’s first lightly cover the mythology surrounding the Gemini Twins. There were actually four children, so quadruplets. (I’m guessing that would’ve made a good zodiac name….Gemini Quadruplets 🤔) The legend states that Leda who was married to the king of Sparta, TynDareus was deceived by Zeus deceived when he transformed himself into a swan SIDE NOTE: Swans are a common symbol for Twinflame’s
She birthed two eggs, one from the king TynDareus which had a mortal boy named Castor and a mortal girl named Clylemnestra. While the other was from Zeus and housed an immortal boy named Pollux and an immortal girl named Helen, which is the famous Helen of Troy.
The ancient symbol for Gemini once was a man and a woman, hence the tarot card of The Lovers Card for Gemini. Here the Masculine and Feminine are in the garden of the mind. The male standing in front of the ‘burning bush’ is the conscious mind and he looks to the female, the intuition as she stands in front of the ‘tree of knowledge’ and looks up to the angel or supreme consciencess. Here the negative and the positive create a electromagnetic bound, once again two merging into one.
One set of twins being mortal and the other being immortal, is the archetype of the mankind.
The mortal being the flesh man, that in-which is body; and the immortal is the Higher Self, the soul, that what can not be destroyed. The ascended Gemini transforms from the unsteady waters to the ‘calm of the sea’ by quieting the mind (communication) of the flesh and awaken the Higher Self, the immortal.
Romans 8:13 ” If you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the hang-ups of the body, you will live.”
This is Mercury, the ‘messenger of the gods’ communing with the flesh self, which is Venus (get to that in a moment)

THE SONS OF THUNDER AND GEMINI TWINS

Two of the Christ’s disciples He nicknamed Boanerges (Mark 3:17), meaning Sons of Thunder. These two were the first to join His ministry as He found them fishing on the Sea. Two brother’s name James and John. James the lesser and John the greater. Although, not noted as twins, here ‘James the lesser’ would represent Castor the mortal. Both being the mortal man and both were killed.
While Pollux the immortal and ‘John the greater’ represent the Higher Self. John is noted as ‘the one Christ loved’ and had a higher understanding and responsibility than the others and even his brother, which he out lived.

GEMINI, THE TWINS AND THE CHRIST

Above, we established that Gemini represents both the physical body and the spiritual, or the Higher Self and the Lower Self that is the totality of one person.
Colossians 2:9, For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.
The Christ, being both fully God and fully mankind represents the Gemini energy. For clarity I’m not saying His was a Gemini however, His true date of birth was sometime in the Spring (food for thought)

THE ESOTERIC MEANING OF GEMINI

Esoterically speaking Venus is the ruler of Gemini. The spiritual journey from the Venusian worldly desires and restraints to ascend to the gods or Higher Self through Mercury, learning to ‘love’ the entire self.

In short, Venus is the Twin to the Earth, the higher octave. While Earth is the third dimension, Venus is the fourth dimension before the fifth dimension, Mercury.
Venus has many associations with Divine Feminine energies, some include Athena, Afrodiety, Inanna, Ishtar, Astarte, Turan, ‘the queen of heaven’, ‘the morning star’ and ‘the evening star’.

THE EMPRESS AND VENUS

The Empress Card embodies both Taurus and Gemini connected by Venus but for two different reasons.
The Earthy aspect of Venus, which is connected to Taurus enjoys the finer things and the romantic expression of love.
However, the airy aspect of Venus connected with Gemini is Godly love. This love brought-downloaded from the Higher Self-God from Hermes-Mercury is the spiritual love grounding into the earthly realms, the Taurus, earthy aspect of Venus.

THE THREE DECANS OF GEMINI AND TAROT

Ones moral convictions can hinder instead of enhance. Feeling a sense of duty to ‘take down and takeout’ any and all evil or wrong doing in the world is a personal mission.

This the meeting of polar opposites embodied in one vessel. This decan represents battle of the sexes and the opposite degree, the Sacred Union or Marriage, the Lovers Cards.
